For Daniel, programming began early. Instructing robotic LEGOs at age 10 and writing calculator games at age 11, he felt the power of code early.

A National Merit Scholar and cum laude Biochemistry graduate from Gustavus Adolphus College, his experience over the years is deeply “full-stack,” ranging from UI/UX-only projects to data administration in a hospital, to backend-heavy engineering, and everything in between.

Daniel is strongly focused both on delivering AI-based experiences to end users, and on working alongside AIs to co-create application code—letting AIs bring the best of what they can offer, while vigorously bringing the best of what he can offer. As AI moves into the world, Daniel is striving with SafeGenerations to help AI be most of service to children and families.

First joining SafeGenerations in 2011 to meet occasional web development needs, Daniel has been a core software engineer since 2020. He is very glad to be in such a genuinely relationship-first team and community—where hard work is mixed with rich, genuine human connection.
